Electronic cigarettes are gathering fans from all across the globe at warp speed and they have started luring even die hard chain smokers to look up and take notice of these smokeless devices in a rather serious manner. E cigarettes were introduced a few years ago and in such a short time span, these devices have indeed managed to win the appreciation of smokers as well as non-smokers from all across the globe. Non smokers simply love the fact that these devices do not emit the highly offensive second hand smoke which is present in regular cigarettes.

Also, the harsh chemicals, which are usually present in regular cigarette smoke, are absent in an e cig. This is undoubtedly why these smokeless devices are gaining immense popularity with each passing day. Owing to the rise on the sales of e cigs, a popular brand of electronic cigarettes in the UK named Skycig has announced that it would be increasing its fork force, which in turn would imply that a six fold increase in the work force in the near future is expected. According to the director of Skycig, Damien Scott, the past year saw a 1000% increment in terms of the sales of their e cigs, owing to which, an increase to the existing work force was considered a necessity.

Damien Scott also stated that since the year 2009, when this electronic cigarette brand first made its presence in the UK soil, over fifty million traditional cigarettes have been replaced with e cigs. “As per the statistical data, it is expected that by the year 2014, the total market for e cigarettes in the United Kingdom alone would cross the two hundred and fifty million dollar mark.” One of the main reasons for the rise in the sales of electronic cigarettes is the ban on smoking regular cigarettes in public places. Such a ban was imposed in Scotland six years ago. Skycig has employed 25 people at present and it has plans of increasing this workforce to 150 by the end of 2013.

At the present moment, Skycig is manufacturing blue tipped batteries, which it shall continue doing in the near future as well. It has also been noticed that the popularity of electronic cigarettes in the United Kingdom has increased four folds, which in turn has prompted all major e cigs manufacturers to increase their production to meet the rising demands in a suitable manner. Apparently, the market for electronic cigarettes is growing at warp speed, owing to which, most other top contending brands would be looking forward to a possible expansion to their existing staff.
